Application Help Notes

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE THRESHOLD PRICE FOR PROPERTIES DUE TO COMPLETE IN 2017/2019 IS £200,000.  

Please take a few minutes to read over these help notes. In order for us to process your application, we will need to be provided with the following information: 

  1. A full reservation agreement from a builder registered to the scheme. Please note that early bird reservation agreements are not acceptable.
  2. Copies of your previous 3 months (or 12 weeks) payslips for each applicant.

In the event that the level of mortgage borrowing you intend to take is less than our rule of thumb we will require a Decision in Principle (or other such evidence) from your mortgage lender to show that it is the maximum you are able to borrow. The rule of thumb is calculated in the following way: 

  • Joint earner applications = Gross Income x 3.5;
  • Individual and single earner applications = Gross Income x 4.5. 
To help us process your application as quickly as possible, please ensure you send copies of the documents we need in a timely manner. There are 2 ways you can submit your documentation to us:

  1. The documents can be uploaded as part of this online form;
  2. You can email your documents through to helptobuy@linkhaltd.co.uk. Please note the largest file size we can accept is 5MB. If your documents exceed this, please send them through in separate emails.

If your partner will be residing with you as part of the household, their details MUST be provided as the second applicant on the application form and relevant evidence provided. This also applies even if your mortgage will only be in one name.

Contact Email Addresses

We carry out all our correspondence via email. Therefore, please ensure that the email addresses you provide for yourself, your solicitors and your financial advisors are accurate. Incorrect contact details can lead to delays in dealing with your application.

Eligible Applicants

If you are eligible to the scheme, you will be issued with an Authority to Proceed letter detailing the terms of your acceptance to the scheme. You will have 3 months from the date of this letter to sign missives for your new property and 9 months to complete the purchase. Failure to comply with these timescales will mean that financial assistance through the scheme will be withdrawn.
